Location: Stamford Contract: Full-Time (Full-Time across 4 days – 1 day off each week) Pay: £27,170 – £29,146 a year (Full-Time) or from £14.24 per hour (temporary roles) Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

\n

We are looking for a passionate and nurturing Level 3 EYFS Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming early years setting.

\n

This role is ideal for someone committed to supporting young children during the most important stages of their development and creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment.

\n

Short-term temporary positions are available over the summer holidays. Permanent opportunities are available for the right candidate. Flexible temporary and long-term roles also available – please get in touch to discuss.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting Children

\n

  • Support children aged 0–5 years in their learning and development
  • \n
  • Assist with play-based activities and daily routines
  • \n
  • Promote positive behaviour, independence, and social development
  • \n
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment
  • \n
  • Support children’s personal care, wellbeing, and development
  • \n

Supporting Staff

\n
    \n
  • Assist with delivering engaging early years activities
  • \n
  • Help prepare and maintain learning environments and resources
  • \n
  • Support observation of children’s development where required
  • \n
  • Work collaboratively with staff to support progress
  • \n
\n

Supporting the Setting

\n
    \n
  • Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times
  • \n
  • Work effectively with colleagues and parents/carers
  • \n
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment
  • \n
\n

Person Specification

Essential

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare(preferred)
  • \n
  • A genuine passion for working with young children
  • \n
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • \n
  • Caring, patient, and proactive approach
  • \n
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
  • \n

Desirable

  • Experience in an early years setting
  • \n
  • Knowledge of EYFS framework
  • \n
  • Experience supporting children with additional needs
  • \n
