Aurora Redehall School supports pupils aged 6–11 with communication difficulties linked to Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). We're seeking a passionate Primary Teacher to join our school. You will be delivering high quality teaching and learning. Although Aurora Redehall is a primary school, many of the students are working at least 2 academic years behind their chronological age. Knowledge of teaching KS1 and early KS2 is desirable.

Key Duties:
\n
You will be accountable to the school leadership team, below are some of the key duties you will be expected to carry out:
\n
\n - Deliver and develop curriculum plans that meet students' educational, physical, and social needs.
\n - Collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
\n - Set, monitor, and review personalised learning targets.
\n - Assess, track, and report student progress to stakeholders in line with school policies.
\n - Create structured, engaging lessons with clear objectives and challenge.
\n - Contribute to reviews of Statements, EHC plans, PEPs, and LAC meetings.
\n - Stay informed on autism-related developments to support effective teaching.
\n - Work positively and non-confrontationally to meet individual needs.
\n

Skills & Qualifications
\n
\n - QTS is essential
\n - Ability to teach across a range of subjects.
\n - Relevant knowledge and experience of pupils with ASD, SEMH and PDA profile
\n - Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
\n - Experience of managing a range of approaches to behaviour, including managing behaviours that challenge
