SEN Secondary Teacher Role

Care-Ed Recruitment are pleased to be working with one of our clients in sourcing a permanent secondary SEN Teacher for one their provisions in Buxton, Derbyshire!

\n

The Role;

\n

To plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse needs of pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours.

\n

The School;

\n

Provides therapeutic educational placements for pupils who live in the adjoining Residential Home. We are committed to each and every one of our pupils and provide specialist support which is individually tailored to meet the unique needs of the pupils.

\n

Set in a picturesque rural location, our school provides a peaceful atmosphere. Recent refurbishment has resulted in spacious, well-equipped classrooms with modern resources, with easy access to outdoor learning enhances the learning experience.

\n

We offer a small, structured classes for implementing Individual Education and Behaviour Plans. These plans adapt curricula for pupils' abilities, Key Stages, and needs, leading to nationally recognised accreditation from Entry Level to GCSE. While adhering to a high staff-to-pupil ratio to meet diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities

\n

All aspects of SEN secondary teacher role;

\n
    \n
  • Plan and teach lessons, working with small groups and individual students from KS3 to KS5
  • \n
  • Prepare teaching materials, take registers and write reports
  • \n
  • Help students develop confidence, independence and encourage them to learn
  • \n
  • Manage behaviour, mark work and talk to parents and carers about their children's progress
  • \n
\n

Requirements;

\n
    \n
  • A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
  • \n
  • At least two years' experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
  • \n
  • QTS/QTLS is a requirement
  • \n
  • Must have at least one year teaching experience and passed ECT year.
