Overview\n

We are currently seeking an experienced Groundworker to join a well-established reactive maintenance team, carrying out repairs and maintenance works within occupied social housing properties across Barnet and the surrounding North West and West London areas.

\n

This is a mobile role covering Barnet, Camden, Wembley, Westminster, Harrow, Ealing, Hounslow and Hammersmith, therefore candidates must be comfortable travelling between properties throughout the working day.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Carrying out a range of external groundworks repairs and maintenance within occupied residential properties.
  • \n
  • Completing repairs to pathways, paving, patios, slabs and concrete areas.
  • \n
  • Undertaking fencing repairs and replacements where required.
  • \n
  • Carrying out drainage repairs and general external maintenance works.
  • \n
  • Completing minor brickwork, masonry repairs and making good works.
  • \n
  • Preparing and reinstating ground areas following repairs.
  • \n
  • Diagnosing issues and completing works efficiently and effectively.
  • \n
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally and to a high standard.
  • \n
  • Delivering excellent customer service while working within residents' homes and surrounding areas.
  • \n
  • Managing your own workload and completing jobs within agreed timescales.
  • \n
  • Taking ownership of jobs from first visit through to completion.
  • \n

  • Demonstrate outstanding reliability and timekeeping.
  • \n
  • Use PDA and mobile technology systems correctly.
  • \n
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • \n
  • Take ownership and responsibility for all allocated jobs.

Experience & Requirements\n

Applicants must have:

    \n
  • Proven experience as a Groundworker within reactive maintenance or social housing.
  • \n
  • Strong experience carrying out external repairs including paving, slabs, concrete repairs, fencing and drainage works.
  • \n
  • Experience working within occupied residential properties.
  • \n
  • Ability to complete minor brickwork and masonry repairs.
  • \n
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively.
  • \n
  • Full UK manual driving licence (no automatic vans available).
  • \n
