Caretaker / Facilities Assistant

Park HR is delighted to partner with a well established organisation in Totton to recruit a dedicated and proactive Facilities Assistant / Caretaker. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual to join a supportive team, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the site. *A full UK Driving License is required*

Key Responsibilities:

\n
• Perform general maintenance tasks, including minor repairs.
\n
• Ensure the site is clean, safe, and well-presented at all times.
\n
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and report any issues.
\n
• Assist with setting up rooms for events or meetings.
\n
• Monitor and maintain heating, lighting, and security systems.
\n
• Support health and safety compliance, including fire safety checks.
\n
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers as needed.
\n

About You:

\n
• Previous experience in a caretaker, facilities, or maintenance role is desirable.
\n
• Practical skills in basic repairs and maintenance tasks. (Even a very strong DIY'er!)
\n
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
\n
• Good communication skills and a team player mentality.
\n
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
\n
• A full UK driving license is essential.
\n
• An enhanced DBS check will be required for succesful applicants.
\n
• Basic IT skills for record-keeping.
\n
