The Supply Register is working in partnership with the Odyssey Collaborative Trust to recruit an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a primary school in Derby.

\n

This is a full-time role starting in September and is ideal for a confident and experienced HLTA who enjoys supporting pupils across the primary age range while working closely with teaching staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences.

About the Role\n

As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work alongside class teachers, deliver targeted interventions, and provide classroom cover when required.

\n

The successful candidate will be a positive role model for pupils and will contribute to creating a supportive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and learning activities
  • \n
  • Provide whole-class cover when required
  • \n
  • Lead small-group and intervention sessions
  • \n
  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
  • \n
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement
  • \n
  • Work closely with teachers and school leaders
  • \n
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs where appropriate
  • \n
What We're Looking For\n

  • Previous experience working within a UK primary school
  • \n
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • \n
  • Confidence leading a class independently
  • \n
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • \n
  • A proactive and flexible approach
  • \n
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • \n
