Head of Facilities Management
Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Head of FM to lead a national Build to Rent portfolio. This is a senior, high-impact role with full responsibility for shaping and driving FM delivery across a growing residential platform.
\nYou will oversee a multi-site portfolio, ensuring high standards in operations, compliance, and resident experience. This includes leading a structured FM team, working closely with contractors and suppliers, and embedding a more visible, proactive approach to site engagement and performance.
\nThis is a highly visible leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys combining operational delivery with strategic influence, team engagement, and commercial oversight.
Key Responsibilities:\n- \n
- Lead the FM function across a national portfolio, ensuring safe, compliant, and well-maintained buildings \n
- Drive a proactive, visible on-site approach, improving consistency, standards, and team engagement \n
- Oversee hard and soft services and manage supplier performance to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance \n
- Take ownership of building safety, health & safety, and regulatory requirements \n
- Work closely with procurement to optimise suppliers and drive commercial value \n
- Lead, develop, and mentor a multi-layer FM team, improving performance and accountability \n
Your Experience:

- Senior experience in facilities management across a multi-site portfolio \n
- Proven track record of leading teams and managing managers within a structured FM environment \n
- Experience driving change, improving performance, or increasing consistency across operations \n
- Strong operational knowledge of compliance, health & safety, and building safety requirements \n
- Commercial awareness, with experience in supplier management, procurement, or contract optimisation \n
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on operational influence \n
- Experience within residential/BTR or customer-facing environments is beneficial but not essential \n
