Database Engineer - MySQL

We're looking for an experienced Database Administrator who enjoys keeping systems stable, performant, and future-proof, while continuously improving how data environments are designed and supported. • Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server (and some MySQL) environments
\n
• Monitor performance, availability, and capacity
\n
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database incidents
\n
• Remediate legacy SQL environments
\n
• Maintain backup and recovery strategies
\n
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line support
\n
• Collaborate with development teams
\n
• Document processes and standards
\n
• Participate in infrequent paid out-of-hours support
\n

• Experience in a Database Administrator role
\n
• Strong SQL Server experience and ideally some MySQL
\n
• Linux and shell scripting experience
\n
• Experience with high-availability technologies (AGs, replication, ProxySQL)
\n
• Strong SQL writing and optimisation skills
\n
