A specialist school in Reading is seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to work with children aged 4 to 16 with behavioural challenges, Autism, ADHD, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a full-time, dynamic role offering an invaluable stepping stone for careers in psychology, education, therapy, youth work or social care.

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will:

  • Support children during lessons and unstructured times, promoting emotional regulation
  • \n
  • Implement behaviour plans and help manage challenging behaviours in a consistent, supportive way
  • \n
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff
  • \n
  • Be part of a dedicated pastoral and therapeutic team
  • \n

The role requires a resilient, patient, and proactive approach, with a genuine desire to support children with additional needs.
