General Manager (Recycling & Waste)

Are you an experienced operations manager looking for your next challenge?

We're looking for a hands-on General Manager to lead a busy recycling and waste operation, overseeing transfer station activities, skip hire and metal recycling while driving safety, efficiency and commercial performance.

The Role

• Lead day-to-day recycling and waste operations
\n
• Manage operational teams and site performance
\n
• Drive health, safety and environmental compliance
\n
• Improve productivity, profitability and recycling rates
\n
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and regulators
\n

About You

You'll have:

\n
• Experience in waste management, recycling, scrap metal or a similar operational environment
\n
• Strong leadership and people management skills
\n
• Knowledge of UK environmental and health & safety regulations
\n
• IOSH/NEBOSH (preferred)
\n
• A proactive, commercially focused approach
\n
