About Little Toes Day Nursery
\nAt Little Toes Day Nursery, we believe childhood should be filled with wonder, exploration and meaningful connections. We are a small, home-from-home nursery caring for a maximum of 32 children, with just 9 babies per day in our nurturing baby room. This allows us to build strong relationships with every child and family while providing exceptional, individualised care.
\n\nAs a Hygge Accredited Nursery, we embrace a calm, cosy and child-led approach to learning. Our beautiful setting includes 2 acres of outdoor land, home to our friendly chickens, ducks and nursery dogs, as well as an on-site Forest School, where children can explore, take managed risks and develop a lifelong love of nature.
\nWe're looking for a caring, enthusiastic and passionate Baby Room Practitioner to join our close-knit team.
\nThe Role
\nAs a Baby Room Practitioner, you will create a safe, loving and stimulating environment where our youngest children can thrive. You will work closely with colleagues and families to support each baby's individual development, following their interests and routines while providing outstanding care.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n* Provide high-quality care and education for babies aged 0-2 years.
\n* Build warm, secure and responsive relationships with children and their families.
\n* Plan engaging, child-led experiences that support learning through play.
\n* Observe, assess and record children's development in line with the EYFS.
\n* Support babies' care routines, including feeding, sleeping and personal care with sensitivity and respect.
\n* Create a calm, Hygge-inspired environment that promotes wellbeing and belonging.
\n* Make the most of our extensive outdoor environment, including regular visits to our Forest School, animal care experiences and nature-based learning.
\n* Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety at all times.
\n* Work collaboratively with the wider nursery team to create a positive, supportive workplace.
\n\nWhat We're Looking For?
\n* Level 3 Early Years qualification (or higher).
\n* A genuine passion for working with babies.
\n* Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and child development.
\n* A warm, caring and nurturing personality.
\n* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
\n* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
\n* A love of outdoor learning and embracing nature as part of everyday practice.
