Prospero Teaching are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join a Good Ofsted-rated Specialist School in Ringwood.

  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

  • Pay Rate: From £104 per day

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Support pupils with autism, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs.
  • \n
  • Build positive relationships that promote confidence, wellbeing, and engagement.
  • \n
  • Assist pupils with emotional regulation, social interaction, and communication skills.
  • \n
  • Deliver creative, practical, and differentiated learning activities.
  • \n
  • Use calm, consistent, and trauma-informed approaches to support behaviour and learning.
  • \n
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams to provide holistic support.
  • \n
  • Support personal care needs where required.
  • \n
\n

Experience & Qualifications

\n
    \n
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable, particularly within SEN settings.
  • \n
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • \n
  • Positive, patient, resilient, and proactive approach.
  • \n
  • Willingness to undertake personal care responsibilities when required.
  • \n
\n

Eligibility Requirements

\n
    \n
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • \n
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
  • \n
  • Two professional, child-related references.
  • \n
\n
