A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our team at City College Norwich (Ipswich Road) as a Personal Development Coach.
\nThe successful candidate will provide learning, personal development and tutorial support to students across a range of vocational curriculum areas, both in group settings and on an individual basis. Working as part of a full-time role, the candidate will be a professional, motivated and aspirational individual who can effectively support students to achieve their goals.
\nWorking within an enthusiastic and supportive team, the Personal Development Coach will work closely with Course Leaders and other curriculum staff to promote and deliver a range of personal development activities that meet the needs of students. The successful candidate will support learners to develop their confidence, resilience, employability skills and personal aspirations, helping them to succeed in their studies and progress to their next steps.
\nThe role involves delivering a range of personal development activities and tutorials, monitoring student progress, setting meaningful targets, and helping learners improve their attendance, engagement, performance and overall college experience. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of students, providing guidance, encouragement and appropriate interventions to support positive outcomes and progression, while building positive relationships with students and supporting course teams to ensure learner success.

As a College we are required to undertake various Safer Recruitment checks as set out within the guidance from the Department for Education Keeping Child Safe in Education. We require all staff to undertake an enhanced Adult and Child Workforce DBS Check and to register with the DBS Update Service. Please note: From 28 November 2020 the government implemented changes to the filtering rules, and we have been instructed that we cannot accept any update service checks on DBS certificates that have been issued before this date. Therefore, a new one must be completed with City College Norwich.
