Room Leader – Full Time Location: Chelmsford Salary: Up to £14.50 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience) We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established nursery in Chelmsford for an experienced and passionate Room Leader to join their welcoming and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Early Years professional who is ready to lead a room, inspire colleagues, and provide outstanding care and education for young children in a nurturing environment. Working Pattern Full-time: 37.5 hours per week Essential Requirements Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare (or above) is essential Previous experience working within an Early Years setting Experience leading or supervising a nursery room is desirable Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills A genuine passion for delivering exceptional childcare Key Responsibilities Lead the daily running of your designated nursery room, ensuring the highest standards of care and education. Support, motivate, and supervise team members, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment. Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework. Monitor children's progress through observations and assessments, ensuring individual learning needs are met. Build strong, professional relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child's development. Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are followed at all times. Support the development of junior team members through coaching and guidance. Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
