Delivery Lead Central London Hybrid Work £110,000 - £120,000 Per Annum We are recruiting for a Delivery Lead to join a leading Tier 1 contractor on a major civil engineering section of HS2. This is a pivotal role within a high‑performing project team shaping the future of national transport infrastructure. The Role Reporting to the Project Director, you will take responsibility for a significant portion of a large-scale infrastructure programme. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and work closely with stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination across procurement, design, construction, and assurance functions. You will play a pivotal role in delivering works safely, on time, and within budget, while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture across all delivery partners. Key Responsibilities * Define and implement delivery strategy in line with overall programme objectives * Lead and manage large, multidisciplinary teams, including Senior Project Managers and functional leads * Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of works in accordance with programme schedules * Oversee coordination between design, procurement, construction, and assurance teams * Take full accountability for project budgets, forecasts, and timelines * Drive continuous improvement across quality, safety, cost, and programme performance * Manage client relationships and act as the key point of escalation * Oversee procurement activities, including review and approval of scopes prior to tender * Lead reporting to senior stakeholders, including progress, risks, and financial performance * Lead investigations into safety and quality issues, implementing lessons learned and preventative measures * Foster collaboration across stakeholders, supply chain partners, and internal teams About You * Proven leadership experience managing teams of 30+ in complex project environments * Strong background in infrastructure or major construction programmes * Demonstrable experience managing budgets and NEC contracts * Excellent client and stakeholder management skills * Strong understanding of project management methodologies and delivery frameworks * Experience across planning, procurement, commercial management, and contract administration * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present at Director and Board level * Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities * Extensive knowledge of health & safety regulations and compliance requirements * Experience working in multidisciplinary environments
