Benefits * On site parking * Pension scheme * Working for a well-established company * Full time, permanent role * Competitive pay The role * Oversee the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for projects, including labour, materials, and equipment. * Ensure all tenders are completed and submitted on time, meeting client specifications and deadlines. * Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand client requirements. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather market intelligence and negotiate terms. * Attend client meetings, site visits, and pre-tender interviews as required. * Provide advice and support to clients on cost-related queries and project feasibility. * Implement and maintain robust estimating processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy. * Analyse market trends and competitors to ensure estimates remain competitive. * Review completed projects to assess the accuracy of estimates and identify lessons learned for future improvement. * Ensure all estimates comply with company policies, industry regulations, and health & safety requirements. About You * Proven experience in estimating within industry, e.g., construction, engineering, infrastructure * Strong knowledge of estimating software and tools (e.g., Conquest, Causeway, Excel). * Exceptional numerical and analytical skills. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills. * Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. * Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. * Strategic thinking and decision-making
