CNC Turner Poole £18.00 - £19.00 per hour A well-established precision engineering business is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to join its manufacturing team in Poole. This is a hands-on opportunity for a skilled CNC Turner who is confident programming, setting and operating CNC lathes within a busy engineering environment. The role would suit someone who enjoys producing high-quality components, working with modern CNC machinery and supporting efficient day-to-day production.The Role As a CNC Turner, your responsibilities will include: Programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines. Working with live tooling and multi-axis lathes. Supporting sliding head machining operations where required. Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings. Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections using measuring equipment. Making programme and offset adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency. Ensuring machines are set and running effectively to achieve production targets. Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.What We're Looking For To be considered for this CNC Turner position, you'll need: Proven experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes. Experience working with live tooling and/or multi-axis machines including sliding heads. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Strong understanding of machining tolerances and inspection processes. High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality components. A reliable, hands-on approach to manufacturing. Desirable Experience The following experience would be advantageous: Fanuc or similar CNC controls. Sliding head machining. Precision engineering environments.
