Quantity Surveyor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading UK construction business delivering high profile data centre projects. Working within a specialist team, you will play a key role in the commercial management of complex, technically demanding schemes from pre-construction through to final account. Quantity Surveyor roles & responsibilities Manage all commercial aspects of data centre construction projects. Prepare, review and administer subcontract packages. Procure subcontractors and manage tender processes. Monitor project costs, budgets and cash flow. Prepare valuations, applications for payment and final accounts. Identify, manage and mitigate commercial risks. Assess and negotiate variations and compensation events. Produce accurate cost reports and forecasts. Work closely with project managers, planners, design teams and site management to achieve commercial objectives. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.Quantity Surveyor requirements Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline. Experience working for a main contractor. Experience working on data centres, industrial, commercial or major infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract, particularly JCT and NEC. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
