Geography & Religious Education Teacher

\nREED Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in the Hemel Hempstead area to recruit a talented and dedicated Geography & Religious Education Teacher for a full-time, one-year fixed-term position starting in September 2026.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about both Geography and Religious Education and has the experience and subject knowledge to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
\nThe Role
\nYou will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons in Geography and RE, creating a positive learning environment and supporting students to achieve their full potential.
\nKey responsibilities include:
\n- \n
- Teaching Geography and Religious Education to KS3 and KS4 students. \n
- Planning, preparing and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons. \n
- Assessing, monitoring and reporting on student progress. \n
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment. \n
- Contributing to the wider life of the school and departmental activities. \n
- Supporting students of varying abilities to achieve excellent outcomes. \n
The Ideal Candidate
\nThe successful candidate will:
\n- \n
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. \n
- Have recent experience teaching Geography and Religious Education within a secondary school setting. \n
- Be confident teaching both subjects up to GCSE level (KS4). \n
- Demonstrate strong classroom management skills. \n
- Be passionate about inspiring young people and raising attainment. \n
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills. \n
