REED Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in the Hemel Hempstead area to recruit a talented and dedicated Geography & Religious Education Teacher for a full-time, one-year fixed-term position starting in September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about both Geography and Religious Education and has the experience and subject knowledge to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The Role

You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons in Geography and RE, creating a positive learning environment and supporting students to achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities include:

• Teaching Geography and Religious Education to KS3 and KS4 students.
\n
• Planning, preparing and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
\n
• Assessing, monitoring and reporting on student progress.
\n
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
\n
• Contributing to the wider life of the school and departmental activities.
\n
• Supporting students of varying abilities to achieve excellent outcomes.
\n

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

\n
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
\n
• Have recent experience teaching Geography and Religious Education within a secondary school setting.
\n
• Be confident teaching both subjects up to GCSE level (KS4).
\n
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills.
\n
• Be passionate about inspiring young people and raising attainment.
\n
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
\n

Salary
