The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Residential Sector Lead to support growth across our regional studios. This pivotal role involves working directly with the Director/Board Sponsor and Regional Leads, combining specialist sector knowledge, design leadership, project delivery, and work-winning to help expand our residential portfolio throughout the regions.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Support the Director/Board Sponsor in delivering the sector strategy.
\n
• Provide leadership and specialist expertise to support work winning across the regional studios.
\n
• Contribute to business development activities, bids, and client engagement.
\n
• Identify new opportunities and support pipeline development.
\n
• Lead and contribute to the design of residential projects, focusing on place-making and design excellence.
\n
• Apply sector-specific knowledge to develop innovative, practical solutions.
\n
• Champion best practice, standardisation, and continuous improvement across projects.
\n
• Act as project lead and senior team member on residential projects.
\n
• Ensure delivery to programme, budget, and quality expectations.
\n
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and lead stakeholder engagements, including public consultations.
\n
• Share lessons learned and drive efficiencies across the sector.
\n
• Promote collaboration across sectors, disciplines, and regions.
\n
• Capture and share lessons learned from projects.
\n
• Contribute to innovation in design and sustainability.
\n

Required Skills & Qualifications

\n
• Qualified Architect (ARB/RIBA or equivalent).
\n
• Minimum 5+ years’ post-qualification experience.
\n
• Proven experience designing and delivering residential projects across a range of tenures.
\n
• Strong design and technical capability.
\n
• Experience supporting bids, proposals, or client presentations.
\n
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
\n
• Desirable: Experience working within public sector frameworks, with HRB’s and gateway approvals, and delivering projects incorporating MMC design principles.
\n
