Reed Further Education are recruiting Learning Support Assistants to support learners across a range of Further Education settings. Join us at our upcoming recruitment event to learn more about the role and interview on the day.

Job type: The role is for the whole academic year with potential of extension and going permanent.

Recruitment Event Overview (Short Version)

• Presentation: Learn about the Learning Support Assistant role and daily expectations.
\n
• Group Interview: Introduce yourself and discuss your experience, including safeguarding knowledge.
\n
• Written Task: Complete a short written exercise on the day (optional preparation provided).
\n
• Meet the Reed Team: Ask questions about registration, payroll, start dates, and onboarding.
\n
• After the Event: Successful candidates will be contacted within a few days and complete registration and a paid induction before starting in September.
\n

Pay & Working Hours

• Pay: £16.00 per hour
\n
• Hours: 08:30 – 16:30 (approximately 7 hours per day)
\n
• Working Pattern: Minimum of 4 days per week
\n
• Start Date: September (confirmed after onboarding)
\n

All candidates must be available for a minimum of 4 days per week

Key Responsibilities

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

\n
• Support students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
\n
• Assist learners with integration into classroom and workplace settings
\n
• Work collaboratively with Course Tutors and wider support staff
\n
• Support learner development, engagement, and wellbeing
\n
• Complete termly reviews and maintain accurate progress records
\n
• Supervise students during break and lunch times
\n
