Science Teacher

Are you a passionate and experienced Science Teacher looking to make a genuine difference in a specialist setting?

We are seeking a committed and nurturing teacher to join a small, highly supportive provision from September. This role is available due to the expansion of the Science timetable alongside internal promotion, offering a fantastic opportunity to shape and grow the subject within a developing setting.

• Deliver Science across a mixed curriculum (Entry Level to GCSE)
\n
• Teach small classes of up to 9 pupils, supported by additional staff
\n
• Work closely and exclusively with a dedicated consultant throughout the process
\n
• Contribute to curriculum development and forward planning within Science
\n
• Provide a trauma-informed, nurturing learning environment
\n

This is a part-time position (3 days per week), with complete flexibility around which days are worked.

• Small, specialist setting supporting pupils with Autism and SEMH needs
\n
• Strong emphasis on therapeutic, trauma-informed practice
\n
• High staff-to-pupil ratios with excellent classroom support
\n
• Focus on building relationships, engagement, and tailored learning pathways
\n

• Be a qualified and experienced Science Teacher
\n
• Have a strong understanding of trauma-informed practice
\n
• Be confident working with pupils with Autism and SEMH
\n
• Be highly organised and a forward planner
\n
• Have a nurturing, patient and adaptable teaching style
\n
• Ideally have experience in curriculum development
\n

We are looking to move quickly to secure the right candidate:

• Initial visit to the setting and meeting with the Headteacher (ASAP)
\n
• Formal interview including a lesson observation
\n
