\nReed Education is delighted to be recruiting a Year 3/4 Teaching Assistant on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive 2-form entry primary school in Gloucester. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent position within a supportive and well-established school from September.
\nThe school is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning across Years 3 and 4, helping pupils to develop academically, socially, and emotionally as they progress through Lower Key Stage 2.
\nThe Role
\nAs a Year 3/4 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the wider Key Stage 2 team to support pupils in the classroom and through targeted interventions.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Support the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons. \n
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning. \n
- Deliver literacy and numeracy interventions. \n
- Support pupils with varying educational needs and abilities. \n
- Prepare and organise classroom resources. \n
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning. \n
- Assist in tracking pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff. \n
- Contribute to a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment. \n
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development. \n
The Ideal Candidate
\nThe successful candidate will:

- Have experience working with primary-aged children. \n
- Ideally have experience supporting pupils within Key Stage 2. \n
- Be patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic. \n
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. \n
- Be able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. \n
- Be committed to helping every child achieve their full potential. \n
- Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience (desirable but not essential). \n
