\nTradewind Recruitment are delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Potters Bar, who are seeking a dedicated KS2 1:1 Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
\nThis role is initially offered on a two-term temporary contract, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position for the right candidate. The school is open to both part-time and full-time applicants, offering flexibility to suit the successful candidate.
The Role\nAs a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting a Key Stage 2 pupil, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support throughout the school day.
\nYour responsibilities will include:

- Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil \n
- Supporting learning both in and out of the classroom \n
- Implementing strategies and interventions recommended by the SEN team \n
- Encouraging independence, engagement, and positive behaviour \n
- Building a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil and their family \n
- Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff to ensure the best outcomes \n

- £95-£115 per day, depending on experience \n
- Part-time or full-time opportunities available \n
- Term-time only \n

The ideal candidate will have:
\n- \n
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant \n
- Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ideally within a primary school setting \n
- A calm, patient and nurturing approach \n
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills \n
- A proactive attitude and genuine passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing \n
- Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check \n
