Are you an experienced Early Years professional with a passion for supporting children as they prepare for their next educational milestone? We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Pre-School Room Leaders to support a range of nursery settings across Bristol.

About the Role\n

As a Pre-School Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team and creating a stimulating, engaging, and nurturing environment for children aged 3-5 years. You will support children's learning and development through exciting activities and play-based experiences while ensuring the highest standards of care and education are maintained.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Lead and support the day-to-day running of the pre-school room.
  • \n
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework.
  • \n
  • Monitor, observe, and assess children's progress and development.
  • \n
  • Support school readiness and promote independence.
  • \n
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • \n
  • Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and welfare requirements are met at all times.
  • \n
  • Mentor and support other practitioners within the room.
  • \n
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) as a minimum.
  • \n
  • Previous experience working within a nursery or pre-school setting.
  • \n
  • Experience leading a room or supervising staff within an Early Years environment.
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
  • \n
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • \n
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • \n
  • Must have access to your own transport and be willing to travel to nursery settings across Bristol and surrounding areas.
  • \n
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is mandatory, or you must be willing to obtain one through Prospero.
  • \n
  • A minimum of 24 months' referencing history is required.
  • \n
  • Paediatric First Aid certification is mandatory.
  • \n
