Are you organised and meticulous with a passion for efficient procurement? Our client, a market-leading building contractor for the UK’s leading house builders and property developers, is recruiting for a practised Assistant Buyer to source their construction materials.

- £30 - £40k per year, dependent on experience + bonus \n

\nThey are seeking a Full-Time Assistant Buyer to be responsible for the purchasing of a range of building materials.
\nAbout You:
\nThe ideal candidate will be a dedicated and self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal and organisational skills. You will need the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks with a sense of urgency.
\nYou will be a confident communicator and negotiator with the ability to build strong and positive relationships with current and new suppliers/service providers.
\nPrevious experience in construction would be desirable but not essential.
\nBasic IT skills. The ability to use Microsoft Office programmes efficiently.
\nResponsibilities of the Assistant Buyer:

- Liaise between internal site agents and suppliers. \n
- Place orders against requisitions and ensure the correct purchase process, including resolving invoice queries. \n
- Expedite orders to ensure timely delivery. \n
- Work closely with other departments, communicating any potential delays, supply or product issues to relevant parties. \n
- Negotiate prices and lead time, maintain daily contact and relationships with suppliers. \n
- Be organised with attention to detail. \n
