1:1 Teaching Assistant – Year 1\n
Hours: Full-time, term time only

Start Date: September 2026

We are seeking an energetic, resilient and committed Teaching Assistant to support a child entering Year 1 with ASD.
\n
The child is highly active and can be a "runner" when dysregulated, therefore applicants must be vigilant, physically active and able to confidently respond to situations where the child may attempt to leave the classroom or designated learning area.
\n
The successful candidate will:
\n
\n - Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day.
\n - Implement behaviour and support strategies as directed by the SENDCo and teaching staff.
\n - Build a positive and nurturing relationship with the child.
\n - Ensure the child's safety whilst promoting independence and engagement.
\n - Remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
