Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a proactive Facilities Manager to support the daily operations of a multi-site business. The role will predominantly be based from their site near Bishops Stortford but will involve travel to other sites. This role is ideal for someone with a practical, problem solving mindset who is looking to build a career in facilities management within a supportive and fast paced environment.The Details:\n

- Salary circa £35-40k \n
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays & additional Christmas closure \n

- Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00 with some travel required \n
- \n
- Support compliance across sites, including inspections, records, and health & safety programmes \n
- Assist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and carry out basic maintenance when needed \n
- Fault find and diagnose electrical or mechanical issues to ensure correct help is sought \n
- Log and manage reactive maintenance requests using the helpdesk system to ensure problems are resolved efficiently \n
- Coordinate contractors on site, including access, permits, and basic compliance checks \n
- Act as a first point of contact for occupiers, resolving any facilities queries \n
- Implement energy, water, and waste reduction plans in line with ESG framework \n
- Support budget tracking, reporting, and sustainability initiatives across the portfolio \n

- Either proven experience within facilities (hard and/or soft) or an electical/mechanical background \n
- Ideally bringing knowledge from a technical or electrical background \n
- Strong problem solver and happy to get stuck in \n
- Knowledge of BMS or mechanical systems \n
- Practical, proactive approach with willingness to learn \n
- Strong organisational and communication skills \n
