Your new companyYou'll be joining a well-established organisation operating from a large commercial facility in Loughborough. The site is busy, professional, and focused on delivering an excellent service to both internal and external customers. You'll become part of a welcoming team with a positive working culture and plenty of support from experienced colleagues.Your new roleWorking in a Screwfix-style trade counter and stores environment, you'll be responsible for ensuring customers receive the right products quickly and efficiently whilst maintaining a safe, organised, and well-stocked stores operation.Contract: Temporary (Temp to Perm for the right candidate) Pay: Up to £16.90 p/hr (pay types are either PAYE or Umbrella)Start Date: 27th July Duties will include:

• Serving customers at the trade counter with a friendly and professional attitude
\n
• Picking and issuing stock accurately
\n
• Receiving and checking deliveries
\n
• Stock replenishment and inventory control
\n
• Processing orders and updating stock systems
\n
• Supporting engineers, contractors, and site teams with parts and materials
\n
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe stores environment
\n
• Carrying out regular stock counts and audits
\n
• Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
\n
• Loading and unloading deliveries where required
\n
• Providing excellent customer service and product support
\n

What you'll need to succeed

\n
• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, trade counter, retail, builder's merchant, or stock control environment
\n
• Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
\n
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
\n
• Ability to work as part of a team
\n
• Basic IT skills for stock management systems
\n
• Experience handling stock and materials
\n
• Forklift licence would be advantageous, but is not essential.
\n
• A proactive approach and willingness to help customers and colleagues
\n
