SEN Teacher

Location: Mansfield area Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week, term time only) Salary: M1 – M6 (£32,916 to £45,352 per annum, dependent on experience)

We are working with a specialist independent education provider supporting children and young people aged 7–19 with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The school operates across two adjoining sites, delivering a highly personalised, holistic approach to education. With small group sizes and a focus on multi-sensory learning, the environment is designed to help students re-engage, rebuild confidence, and achieve their full potential.

We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and dedicated SEN Teacher to join this supportive team.

You will:

• Teach learners in small groups, delivering engaging and flexible lessons
\n
• Create individualised learning programmes tailored to each student
\n
• Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
\n
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide innovative, multi-sensory teaching approaches
\n
• Occasionally support across additional local sites if required
\n

• Plan, deliver, and review personalised lesson plans and schemes of work
\n
• Use creative and adaptable teaching strategies to maximise engagement
\n
• Promote student voice and involve learners in their education
\n
• Maintain a strong focus on safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion
\n
• Support assessment, tracking, and reporting (including EHCPs)
\n
• Contribute to curriculum development and improvement
\n
• Maintain accurate records and reports for relevant commissioning bodies
\n
• Engage in continuous professional development
\n

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
\n
• SEN teaching experience (preferred)
\n
• Relevant Level 6 qualification
\n
