IT Technician (1st Line)

Our client, a prestigious educational establishment, based in OX2 has an exciting opportunity to join their team as a 1st Line IT Technician.

In this busy and varied role, and working closely with the IT Network Manager, you will provide technical support to the establishment, with key responsibility over IT Incidents and Helpdesk tickets; contributing to the development of technical documentations and troubleshooting problems.

This is a full-time position, paying up to £26k, dependent on skills and experience alongside a benefits package.

The Role

\n
• Respond to helpdesk tickets and support staff experiencing technical difficulties
\n
• Identify and repair common hardware and software problems on windows desktops
\n
• Install, update and configure software on desktops, apple devices using InTune and Lightspeed
\n
• Contribute to development of technical documentation
\n
• Keep up to date on technical developments (Such as operating systems, new applications and tools)
\n

The Ideal Candidate

\n
• Minimum 1 year experience in IT
\n
• ICT qualification such as ComTIA is highly desirable
\n
• Ability to communicate and support IT issues effectively
\n
• Basic understanding of network concepts
\n
• Experience of Windows 10/11, MAC, IOS, Android, Office 365
\n
• Good record keeping abilities, with ability to log details of problems and solutions in an automated helpdesk system
\n

The successful candidate will be entitled to a salary of up to £26k dependent on skills and experience, you will be entitled to 25 days holiday plus bank holidays as well as other benefits such as pensions scheme, holiday club discounts and more.
