Reed Education is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and community-focused primary school in the Cotswolds that is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant or Higher Level Teaching Assistant (TA/HLTA) to join its committed inclusion team from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and caring individual who is committed to helping children with additional needs achieve their full potential. The role will involve supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs through targeted interventions, in-class support and collaborative working with families and external professionals.

The Role

\n

Working closely with the school's SENDCo and teaching staff, you will:

    \n
  • Deliver targeted interventions and support programmes for pupils with SEND.
  • \n
  • Support children with My Plans, My Plan+ and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • \n
  • Provide in-class support to ensure pupils can fully access the curriculum.
  • \n
  • Work as part of the wider Team Around the Child alongside teachers, parents/carers and external agencies.
  • \n
  • Monitor, record and report on pupil progress towards individual targets and outcomes.
  • \n
  • Adapt support strategies to meet a wide range of learning, communication, social, emotional and behavioural needs.
  • \n
  • Promote positive behaviour, independence, wellbeing and inclusion.
  • \n
  • Contribute to review meetings and the ongoing evaluation of SEND provision.
  • \n
  • Support the school's commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
  • \n

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

\n

Essential

\n
    \n
  • TA, HLTA or equivalent experience within a primary school environment.
  • \n
  • Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • \n
  • Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
  • \n
  • A positive, nurturing and child-centred approach.
  • \n
  • Commitment to inclusion and high expectations for all pupils.
  • \n
\n

Desirable

  • Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of effective intervention programmes.
  • \n
  • Experience working with external professionals and agencies.
  • \n
  • Understanding of a range of SEND needs and inclusive practices.
  • \n
\n
