Job Description
Prospero Teaching is working with a specialist SEMH provision in the Andover area to recruit a dedicated and resilient SEN Teacher or experienced Unqualified Teacher for a September start. This is a permanent opportunity within a structured and supportive setting for pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
\nThe school is open to both Qualified Teachers (QTS) and experienced Cover Supervisors / Unqualified Teachers who have strong classroom presence and a genuine interest in working within SEN.
\nYou will be delivering a primary-style curriculum to KS3-aged pupils, adapting learning to meet individual needs while focusing on behaviour support, engagement, and building confidence. This is a highly rewarding role where strong relationships, consistency, and adaptability are key.
The Role:\n- \n
- Deliver a primary curriculum to KS3 pupils within an SEMH setting \n
- Lead lessons independently and support pupil learning \n
- Plan and adapt lessons to suit a range of needs \n
- Support pupils with behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement \n
- Build strong, positive relationships with students \n
- Work closely with teaching assistants and pastoral teams \n
- Maintain a safe, calm, and structured classroom environment \n
- Monitor progress and support pupil development \n
- Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently \n

- Holds QTS, or \n
- Experienced Cover Supervisor / Unqualified Teacher with strong classroom experience \n
- Confident leading a class and managing behaviour independently \n
- Experience working with young people, ideally within SEN or SEMH \n
- Resilient, patient, and adaptable approach \n
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills \n
- Passionate about supporting pupils who need additional structure and support \n
