Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant - Green Lanes, Haringey - September Start

Full-Time | Long-Term Position | £95 - £115 per day

A welcoming and inclusive Primary School located in Green Lanes, Haringey is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support children within the Early Years setting, working closely with pupils who have additional needs and helping them develop socially, emotionally and academically during these crucial early stages of education.

• Supporting children within Nursery or Reception on a 1:1 and small group basis
\n
• Working closely with pupils with Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASD), Speech & Language Needs, developmental delays and social communication difficulties
\n
• Supporting children's communication, emotional regulation and engagement with learning through play-based activities
\n
• Implementing strategies set by the class teacher and SENCO
\n
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours
\n
• Helping to create a nurturing, safe and inclusive learning environment
\n

Previous experience working with children within an Early Years, Nursery, School or Childcare setting

Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is highly desirable

A patient, nurturing and proactive approach

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A genuine passion for Early Years education and supporting children with additional needs

A relevant qualification in Education, Childcare, Psychology or a related field is desirable but not essential

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Competitive daily rates of £110 - £115 per day
