Job Title: Hair Dressing AssistantLocation: Greater ManchesterStart date: September 2026Rate of pay: £13-18 pound per hourAbout the Role / Job Summary: As a Hair Dressing Assistant at a college in Greater Manchester, you will provide essential support in a salon environment. Your role will involve shampooing hair, preparing treatments, and ensuring hygiene standards are met. You will assist stylists with tasks such as colour mixing, sectioning hair, and blow-drying, while maintaining an organized salon to ensure appointments run smoothly. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the education and training of aspiring hairdressers.Key Responsibilities:· Assist with shampooing and preparing hair treatments.· Support stylists in colour mixing and blow-drying.· Maintain salon hygiene and organization.· Manage stock and assist with ordering supplies.· Help the teacher in managing and maintaining budgets.· Work 2.5 days a week: Monday (9-4), Wednesday (11:30-4), and Friday (9-4).Qualifications:· Hair and barbering background, ideally Level 2 and 3 qualifications.· Strong communication and teamwork skills.· Ability to manage time effectively in a busy salon environment.Education Requirements:· Level 2 or 3 qualification in hairdressing or barbering.Experience Requirements:· Experience working in a salon setting is preferred.
