\nYou'll be joining a specialist therapeutic school that provides full-time education and therapeutic support for children and young people aged 5–16 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school offers a nurturing and structured environment where every child is supported to develop academically, socially and emotionally.
\nWith small class sizes, a dedicated staff team and a child-centred approach, this is a fantastic setting for Teaching Assistants who are passionate about inclusive education and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
\nYour Role
\nAs an SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
\nYour responsibilities will include:

- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. \n
- Helping children engage with learning and reach their individual goals. \n
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation. \n
- Building trusting relationships with pupils who may have experienced challenges in education. \n
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and the wider school team. \n
- Encouraging independence, confidence and personal development every day. \n
What We're Looking For
\nWe're keen to hear from candidates who have:
\n- \n
- Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). \n
- Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, Autism, ADHD or other additional needs. \n
- A calm, patient and positive approach. \n
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. \n
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are happy to apply for one. \n
- The right to work in the UK. \n
