\nContract: Long-term, full-time (potentially until funding ceases or pupil leaves the school)
\nPay: £15 per hour
\nHours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (30-minute unpaid break)
\nWe are currently working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Knutsford area who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in Year 4.
\nThis is a long-term opportunity, ideal for someone with experience supporting children with complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and a passion for making a meaningful difference.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with complex SEND \n
- Support communication through Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) \n
- Work closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals \n
- Support the child in a dedicated learning space, often outside the main classroom \n
- Assist with personal care, including nappy changing \n
- \n
- Diagnosed with Autism and has complex additional needs \n
- Non-verbal, communicates using PECS \n
- Requires consistent, patient, and nurturing support \n
- Spends a significant portion of the day in a structured, individual environment \n

- Experience working with children with Autism and complex SEND \n
- Understanding or experience of PECS (preferred) \n
- Comfortable providing personal care (This is a MUST as the child with require changing) \n
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach \n
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships \n
