Zest Optical are currently recruiting for a Dispensing Optician to join a modern independent Opticians based in central Cambridge. This is a full-time opportunity offering a salary of £31,300, working within a design-led practice focused on delivering a high level of patient care and eyewear styling.

The business is part of a growing group of independent Opticians, combining traditional craftsmanship with a fresh, contemporary approach to optics. Working with high quality eyewear and ZEISS lenses, this is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Dispensing Optician who enjoys building lasting relationships with patients and providing a truly personalised dispensing experience.

Please note, applicants must be a qualified Dispensing Optician, GOC registered, with the right to work in the UK. Applications without the required qualifications will not be considered.

Dispensing Optician - Role

• Deliver a high standard of patient care and customer service throughout the dispensing journey
\n
• Provide expert dispensing advice, recommending the most appropriate frames, lenses and lens options
\n
• Work with premium eyewear collections and ZEISS lenses
\n
• Explain prescriptions and lens technologies clearly, ensuring patients feel confident in their choices
\n
• Carry out accurate fittings, adjustments and aftercare to the highest standard
\n
• Build long-term relationships with patients through outstanding service
\n
• Support the day-to-day running of the practice alongside the wider team
\n
• Maintain high standards of presentation and visual merchandising
\n
• Contribute to a positive team culture and help deliver an exceptional customer experience

Dispensing Optician - Requirements

\n
• Qualified Dispensing Optician with current GOC registration
\n
• Passion for delivering outstanding patient care and personalised dispensing
\n
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
\n
• Strong attention to detail and a professional approach
\n
• Interest in premium eyewear and lens technology
\n
• Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work well within a close-knit team
\n

Salary & Benefits

• Full-time role, including weekends on a rota basis

• Typical working hours are 9.30am to 6.30pm (11.00am to 5.00pm on Sundays)
