Head of Sales
Job Description
Corpay is hiring a Head of Sales within the Corporate Payments division. This position falls under the Corpay Complete line of business and is located in the north of England. You will lead, coach, and grow one of our UK commercial card sales teams, focused on driving new business for Corpay Complete. The successful candidate will be accountable for delivering against ambitious revenue targets, scaling market presence, and ensuring excellence in sales execution. You will report to the VP of Sales and collaborate with the sales development, marketing, and product teams.
What you’ll be doing\n- \n
- Own the commercial card sales strategy and revenue growth across the Mid-Market and Enterprise segments, delivering against acquisition and revenue targets. \n
- Lead the end-to-end sales lifecycle, from pipeline generation through executive engagement, commercial negotiations and contract close. \n
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing sales team, recruiting, coaching, and driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. \n
- Develop scalable sales processes, forecasting, pipeline governance, and performance metrics to deliver predictable, sustainable growth. \n
- Build trusted relationships with senior finance, procurement, and treasury stakeholders, positioning the business as a strategic payments partner. \n
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Success to optimize the customer journey and maximize commercial outcomes. \n
- Act as the voice of the customer, providing strategic insight on customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape to influence business and product strategy. \n
- Identify opportunities for product innovation, market expansion, and new revenue streams, helping shape the future of the commercial card proposition. \n
- Represent the business at executive customer engagements, strategic partner meetings, and industry events to strengthen market presence and brand credibility. \n
- Deliver accurate forecasting, pipeline visibility, and commercial reporting to senior leadership, ensuring achievement of growth objectives. \n

- 7–10+ years of B2B payments / commercial card sales experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or player-manager role. \n
- Proven success selling payments solutions or related finance technologies. \n
- Experience in startup or high-growth environments; ability to thrive in ambiguity and build from the ground up. \n
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team while supporting closing complex deals. \n
- Strong understanding of payment processes, finance operations, and value drivers for CFO and Controller personas. \n
- Skilled in forecasting, pipeline management, and building structured sales methodologies. \n
- Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and executive-level presentation skills. \n
