Assistant Quantity Surveyor

About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be joining the commercial team of a leading engineering and construction contractor who operate across the commercial, education, industrial, mixed-use, life science and film studio sectors plus their civils division. They have been successfully growing in the construction industry for over 100 years becoming a Tier 1 Main Contractor. You will be joining a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a £7m new build project in Watford where you will be based on site 5 days a week. Key Responsibilities of Assistant Quantity Surveyor Include but not limited to: Assisting with cost planning and budgeting for construction projects Preparing tender documents and helping with procurement of subcontractors Reviewing subcontractor quotations and comparing costs Supporting valuations, interim payments and final accounts Monitoring project costs and reporting cost variations Assisting with contract administration including JCT contractsKey Requirements of Assistant Quantity Surveyor Degree educated in a construction related subject Approximately 2-3 years of experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor at a Main Contractor Live within commutable distance to WatfordWhat's on offer: Salary of up to £40k + Package Car Allowance Travel Structured training & mentoring from senior staff Progression path Private healthcareIf you would like to hear more about this Assistant Quantity Surveyor role, please apply with an up-to-date CV or contact Lucy Murphy on (phone number removed)
