Electrician – BESS Sites (Battery Storage) Location: Inverness, Aberdeen & Dundee (Field-Based) Salary: Up to £50,000 + Package NO BATTERY STORAGE EXPERIENCE NEEDED, ALL TRAINING PROVIDED The Opportunity A leading organisation in the renewable energy sector is seeking a skilled Electrician to support the operation and maintenance of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and associated technologies across Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing industry at the forefront of the UK’s transition to low-carbon energy, working on utility-scale renewable assets in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The Role As a Field Service Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining asset performance, ensuring maximum availability, and responding to faults across multiple sites. This is a field-based role covering Inverness, Aberdeen, and Dundee. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on Industrial BESS sites * Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime * Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with HSEQ standards * Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good condition * Work collaboratively with colleagues, subcontractors, and field management teams * Identify and report safety, quality, and performance issues * Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company procedures Health, Safety & Compliance * Adhere strictly to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards * Proactively identify and report risks or unsafe conditions * Maintain safe systems of work at all times About You * Fully Qualified Electrician (Gold Card or equivalent) * Full UK driving licence * HV Experience (High Voltage) * Previous experience in renewable energy – advantageous * Health & Safety qualification – desirable What’s on Offer * Salary: Up to £50,000 + Package * OTE - £55k - £60k * Overtime * Pension * Private Medical Insurance * Paid holiday - 25 days + 8 Bank Holidays * Lots of progression opportunities * Flexi-Benefits * Company Van * Fuel Card * Tools * PPE * Training and progression * and more
