Operative

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Factory Operative to join an established manufacturing business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality, and can contribute effectively within a production environment. Full training will be provided. Key Responsibilities: Sanding, rubbing, and masking painted products and components Preparing stencils and jigs for production activities Applying markings and identification details to products Using a variety of hand tools safely and effectively Following quality standards, procedures, and work instructions Maintaining compliance with health and safety requirements Carrying out general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organised workplace Reporting maintenance, safety, or quality concerns where appropriate Assisting with general factory and production tasks as required Completing work to agreed production schedules and targets Communicating effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other departmentsBeneficial Skills / Qualifications: Reliable and dependable approach to work Good attention to detail Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately Strong verbal and written communication skills Positive and proactive attitude Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual duties Flexible approach with a willingness to support different areas of the factory Previous experience working within a manufacturing or production environment Experience using hand tools Understanding of continuous improvement principles Experience working to productivity and quality targetsAdditional Details: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Quarterly profit share scheme Two paid breaks per shift Days only - Mon - Fri (every other Friday off) On-site canteen facilities Death in service benefit Healthcare scheme and employee assistance programme Enhanced maternity and paternity pay Company pension scheme Free on-site parking
