Welder Fabricator

An established metal fabrication and manufacturing company in County Durham is recruiting an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their production team. This Welder / Fabricator role covers welding, fitting, setting and assembling fabricated structures to design specifications, working closely with the Team Leader to hit agreed production targets. It is a varied Welder / Fabricator position within a well equipped, established workshop. What you'll be doing * Welding, fitting and assembling metal structures to design specifications * Evaluating engineering drawings and working to required standards * Meeting individual and team targets in line with agreed dates * Completing safety checks and documentation to standard * Carrying out welding and fabrication tasks using a range of equipment * Transferring material around the factory as required * Contributing to new working methods and process improvements * Following 5S and wider health and safety standards What we're looking for * Minimum Level 3 in Fabrication and Welding Engineering, coded certification is an advantage * Over three years in a relevant industry, competent in Mig, Tig and heat welding * Good attention to detail and a solid grasp of maths and engineering drawings * Experience of Lean working practices * A flexible, team focused approach Please note that full training is not provided for this Welder / Fabricator role, so applicants should be confident welding to a professional standard from the outset.
