Resource Advisor (Field-Based) Temporary/ Ongoing | Start date: 20 July 2026 Pay £15.82 per hour (Weekly) Mileage paid at 65p per mile Full UK driving licence - essential requirement Hours (Early finish daily) 6:30am - 2:30pm (Mon-Thu) 6:30am - 2:00pm (Fri) About the role We are recruiting Field-Based Resource Advisors to support Belfast City Council's Waste Management Service. This is a frontline, community-based role focused on improving recycling behaviours, supporting environmental initiatives, and engaging directly with residents and businesses across Belfast. Key duties Field-based door-to-door engagement with households and businesses Providing waste and recycling advice and education Supporting environmental awareness campaigns and recycling schemes Carrying out surveys, data collection, and reporting using handheld devices Undertaking communal site assessments and follow-up actions Supporting customer enquiries and service improvements Driving Council vehicles as required Requirements Full UK driving licence (essential for all posts) Experience in a public-facing/customer service role Comfortable working in a field-based, outdoor environment Strong communication and data recording skills Ability to manage challenging conversations professionally
