Orthopaedic Sports Surgeon
Job Description
Our organization is in search of a Board Certified Orthopaedic Sports Surgeon to become part of a well-established and expanding practice located along the coast in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
Preferred Experience...we are looking for a candidate interested in both general and sports orthopaedics, particularly in a rapidly growing region recognized as one of the fastest expanding counties in the nation!
Key Responsibilities Include:
Joining an established and expanding sports program!
Working alongside 1 Sports Surgeon, 2 non-operative sports physicians, and 1 Sports Advanced Practice Provider (APP).
Collaborating with a team that includes 3 joint surgeons, 1 foot & ankle specialist, 1 upper extremity surgeon, 1 spine surgeon, and a large group of Advanced Practice Providers.
Engaging in both practice and operating room time, with access to growing ORs and a freestanding surgical center!
Participating in an ED call rotation among the surgeons.
Being supported by a team of 9 Advanced Practice Providers for inpatient call rotation.
Building affiliations with local high schools and colleges.
General orthopaedics experience is required.
While experienced candidates are preferred, new graduates are also welcome to apply.

McLeod Health Loris, a non-profit 50-bed hospital, focuses on general surgery, women's health services, emergency care, critical care, urology, and various therapies including physical, occupational, and speech. Additionally, we are proud to introduce a new and expanding Dialysis Access Center.
The Carolina Forest area will ensure the continuation of high-quality care, access to top-tier physicians, enhanced specialty services, and significant investments in technology. Spanning 43 acres, McLeod Health Carolina Forest will feature a seven-building campus offering diverse services. A state-of-the-art facility, costing $56 million, is anticipated to provide 48 beds and ensure immediate care access for all patients. This facility is expected to be completed within the next two years, with an opening date projected for 2026.
