- Title: Product Strategy Lead Expert
- Location: Hybrid – Oakland, CA (Local Bay Area candidates only; onsite once per week at Oakland General Office)
- Duration: Through February 26, 2027
- Pay Rate: $93/hour
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in product strategy, energy strategy, finance, or a related field
- Experience developing product strategies, business cases, and managing product portfolios
- Strong experience creating executive-level presentations and communicating with senior leadership
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders in a matrixed environment
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Experience with energy products, utility strategy, or emerging technologies is highly preferred
- Experience with Distributed Energy Resources (DER), AMI 2.0, Grid Edge technologies, or product development is a plus
- Chief of Staff or program leadership experience is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Lead product strategy initiatives supporting PG&E's Grid Products and Innovation Accelerator portfolio
- Track, coordinate, and manage multiple strategic product initiatives across various stages of development
- Create executive presentations, business cases, and strategic recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive alignment and successful product launches
- Develop and support the Grid Edge and AMI 2.0 strategy in partnership with customer and business teams
- Identify opportunities, analyze business value, and build strategies for grid modernization initiatives
- Drive key strategic programs and help establish new innovation initiatives and partnerships
- Support executive-level problem solving, strategic planning, and innovation efforts
- Remove blockers, coordinate project teams, and ensure initiatives remain on track
- Influence stakeholders across the organization and help shape the future of PG&E's electric grid strategy
