Medical Technologist in Kearney, MO

Bachelor’s in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, or related field, National certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent), and 1–2+ years recent hospital lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

• Five 8-hour shifts per week
• Days: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Desired Qualifications:

• ASCP or equivalent certification as a Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT)
• Completion of an accredited Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Technician program
• Proven experience in specimen collection, processing, and analysis
• Competence in operating, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory instrumentation
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance and laboratory safety protocols
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, and immunology
• Process, analyze, and report clinical specimens with precision and efficiency
• Uphold laboratory standards for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
• Perform instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and participate in proficiency testing
• Accurately document results in laboratory information systems and maintain detailed records
• Adhere to infection control and hazardous material guidelines
