Quick Facts Location: 736 Battlefield Boulevard North, Chesapeake, VA 23320 Start Date: 12/30/2025 End Date/Duration: Please inquire upon application Shift: Various shifts (lengths to be discussed) Hours/week: Flexible based on assignment needs Employment Type: Contract License/Certs: Active medical license in VA; board certification in OB/GYN or Family Medicine with OB and Hospitalist experience Experience: Prior OB hospitalist experience preferred Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: $214.50 per hour Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You’ll Do Provide bedside OB care and management for hospitalized patients Collaborate with hospital staff and specialists to coordinate patient care Attend to labor and delivery procedures, as needed Document patient interactions accurately in electronic health records Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards Respond to obstetric emergencies and provide stabilization and transfer as necessary Serve as a resource to hospital staff regarding obstetric care protocols What You Need Valid medical license in Virginia Board-certified or board-eligible in OB/GYN or Family Medicine with OB experience Prior hospitalist or OB hospitalist experience preferred Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to work flexible schedules and handle obstetric emergencies responsibly About the Assignment This assignment is at a well-regarded hospital in Chesapeake, VA, dedicated to providing exceptional obstetric and in-hospital women’s health care.
