Clinical Practice in Obstetrics & Gynecology | No Night Call | Leadership Role

Our organization is in search of a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN to take on the role of Associate Program Director (APD) for an upcoming community-based OB/GYN Residency Program, set to commence in the summer of 2027. This position merges significant educational leadership with clinical practice in a supportive, hospital-employed setting. All clinical responsibilities are backed by a collaborative generalist OB/GYN team and a dedicated OB/GYN Hospitalist team, ensuring no night call and promoting a healthy work-life balance.

The Opportunity

The Associate Program Director will collaborate closely with the Program Director to enhance the educational, operational, and cultural aspects of the residency program while maintaining an active clinical role. This position includes designated time for residency leadership tasks, which encompass:

  • Assisting the Program Director with residency administration, curriculum development, and program enhancements.
  • Allocated administrative time for leadership duties.
  • Engaging in scholarly activities and quality improvement initiatives with institutional research backing.
  • Contributing to program operations and compliance through committee participation, evaluation processes, faculty development, and recruitment efforts.
  • Teaching and mentoring OB/GYN residents and medical students in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, Labor & Delivery, and surgical environments.
  • Providing supervised clinical education and constructive feedback during routine patient interactions.
  • Fostering a positive, hands-on learning atmosphere rooted in community-based practice.

  • Are Board Certified or Board Eligible through ABMS or AOA and possess a current Florida medical license or the ability to obtain one.
