Job Title: General Cardiologist (PRN)

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate multidisciplinary care to optimize patient outcomes.
• Review patient medical records to diagnose, treat, and manage care while educating patients and their families.
• Make necessary patient referrals as required.
• Adhere to care management guidelines to ensure compliance with established protocols.
• Deliver evidence-based, compassionate care to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.
• Foster a collaborative environment with referring physicians, residents, and clinical staff to ensure quality care.
• Support academic, educational, and research initiatives.
• Participate in Performance Improvement Programs and Peer Review committee meetings actively.
• Communicate effectively to enhance the brand and patient experience for all stakeholders.
• Act as a resource for the community.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an Internal Medicine residency from an accredited ACGME program.
• Completion of a Cardiovascular Disease fellowship from an accredited program.
• 1-2 years of experience in General Cardiology is preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

• Board eligible or board certified in the specialty.
• Valid Texas Medical License.

Working Conditions:

• Inpatient call coverage.
• Outpatient clinic responsibilities.
• Reading echo, vascular studies, and nuclear studies (if qualified).
• Administrative time included.
• Support from Advanced Practice Providers (APP).
• Utilization of the Epic EMR system.
